Moscow museum of modern art Music festival «LOOK AND LISTEN!» Moscow museum of modern art, Petrovka 25 Saturday, April 17, 4.15 PM HAYDN - The Seven Last Words of Christ Haydn wrote this work 225 years ago, in 1785, on a commission from the Archbishop of Cadiz Cathedral, for the Good Friday service. Besides Introduction and the final, concluding part, each of the seven movements - Haydn's version of each of the Seven Last Words. Unbelievably gorgeous music. Before and after the concert one can tour the new anniversary display “Open Doors Day”, dedicated to contemporary art of 1989-2009. And if one brought children to a 3:00 PM concert, during this program (4:15 - 5:15 PM) they will be taken on the excursion in search of "Treasures of Contemporary Art” and will be given a master class. |
