Evgeny (nickname - Zhenya) started studying music at five. While a little boy he dreamed of becoming a train machinist, unlike other Russian boys of his generation, who wanted to be cosmonauts.

The list of his favorite composers is rather broad and includes such names as Bach, Tartini, Mozart, Paganini, Chausson, Prokofiev. His idols among performing musicians are Vengerov, Anna-Sophie Mutter, Repin, Bashmet, Zimmerman. Íå also worships Oistrakh, Grumiaux, Rabin, Heifetz, Horovitz and Rubinstein, as well as musicians of the previous generation. Contemporary music trends, such as rock, fank, jazz have also caught Zhenya’s fancy.

Zhenya likes traveling in a good company, enjoys reading (mainly contemporary authors), swimming, and playing badminton. He is passionately fond of driving at high speed. That’s why answering the question of whom he would like to be in his next life, he said “Formula 1 Pilot”.
